The Education Agent Training Course (EATC) is a free, online, industry-recommended course that provides education agents with information about the Australian education system and Australia as a study destination. EDUCATION AGENT TRAINING COURSE
The first step is to visit our website sign up page and register for an EATC account.
For your PIER account username, it is recommended that you use a personal email address. You may use a different (professional email address) as your actual contact email address in your agency contact information.
Once you have created an EATC account, you will gain access to all of the course material, self-assessment and be able to apply to sit the QEAC certification exam.

The Education Agent Training Course is divided into the following categories:-
- Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
- Regulations & Legislation (REG)
- Working Effectively (WEF)
- Ethics (ETH)
Once you have worked your way through each unit, there is self-assessment corresponding to each unit.
The self-assessment is divided into the following categories:-
– Self-Assessment - Unit A Australian Qualifications Framework
– Self-Assessment - Unit B Regulations and Legislation
– Self-Assessment - Unit C Working Effectively
– Self-Assessment - Unit D Ethics
The self-assessment questions are similar to the questions that you will encounter on the Qualified Education Agent Counsellor (QEAC) certification exam.
QUALIFIED EDUCATION AGENT COUNSELLOR (QEAC) CERTIFICATION EXAM
If you wish to test your knowledge and become recognised for your studies in the Education Agent Training Course (EATC), there is the option to sit the QEAC Certification Exam.
The QEAC Certification Exam is a web-based exam. Test candidates sit the exam in front of a web camera.

BECOMING A QUALIFIED EDUCATION AGENT COUNSELLOR (QEAC)
Once you have submitted a successful QEAC Certification Exam attempt, PIER will review your exam attempt as soon as possible. You will receive a preliminary notification on your screen once you submit your exam attempt as to whether the result was pass or fail grade. You will then be notified by email as to whether your exam attempt is in line with PIER's terms and conditions. If your exam attempt is valid, your QEAC certification will be issued.
You will be emailed a link to download your electronic Qualified Education Agent Counsellor (QEAC) certificate.
You will also then be able to access your QEAC certificate and QEAC badge at any time in PIER Apps
The QEAC badge is for use in your promotional materials.
Agents who have provided their agency information to PIER will be listed in the PIER network. Your Qualified Education Agent Counsellor (QEAC) profile will be seen in the following locations:-
