Do not run any other programs/applications that utilise the web camera on your computer when trying to activate your exam OR at any time during the exam.
If you wish to test your web camera in other programs (for eg. Skype) to make sure that the camera is working before commencing the formal exam, do it beforehand and then close the program that you use.
Be aware that certain programs such as Skype keep running in the background. Ensure that such programs are completely shut down.
To check if a program is still running, you can check for it in your computer's Taskbar. If it is, click on it and quit the program.
To be absolutely sure that other programs that use the web camera are not running, go to your computer’s “Task Manager” and check which programs are open. Close any programs that use the web camera.
Any applications that use the web camera may interfere with the software that runs during the examination. These applications monopolise the web camera and prevent the software from operating correctly.
Please follow the instructions that are provided on-screen before the exam.

IMPORTANT
**Do not proceed with your examination if you cannot see yourself in the web camera window.
If you can not see yourself, you will not be captured on the web camera, ie. there will no footage of you. This will result in your attempt being invalidated and you will waive the right to any further exam attempts.
